Project Overview

This project involves construction of new gravity and low pressure sewer lines on Hart St., Waiakamilo Rd., Dillingham Blvd., and Nimitz Hwy. (see project map below). The extent of work is as follows:

• 800 linear feet of new 6-inch to 24-inch diameter gravity sewer pipelines
• 500 linear feet of a new low pressure sewer system
• 11 new sewer manholes
• Rehabilitation of existing sewer manholes
• Abandonment of inactive sewer lines
• Temporary sewer bypass systems
• Various other site work and restorations

Open excavation construction will be used to install all sewer lines, the low pressure sewer system, and the new manholes. Jet grouting will be performed for soil stabilization and to significantly reduce groundwater flow into the excavations.
